Paris - Loire - Normandy

In 2006 my brother and I went to France. This trip was a replacement for his bachelor party. I was his best man and despite the fact that his interest in World War 2 is minimal compared to mine,
he agreed to go on a historical excursion to Normandy instead of having a lame party back in Norway :). It turned out to be much fun and very interesting...
Originally we planned to drive straight north from Paris and just stay in the Normandy area, luckily we decided to take a detour southwards to see the central parts of France first.

The War and Peace Show

Blessed as I am, I have a father in law with a great interest in historical military vehicles.
Our common interest in history and World War 2 brought about a plan to visit the
War and Peace Show., and in 2007 the whole family travelled by different means to England. We brought two Jeeps which we drove from Immingham all the way to the show in Maidstone.
On the way we stopped in Duxford to visit the Imperial War Museum.
We even dropped by Stonehenge, a long trip in a WW2 jeep. These vehicles are less than half as comfortable as a modern car, they are however more than twice as fun to drive!
The pictures found here have been taken by all the participants of the trip!
